Talk:Homeopathy for pregnancy and birth
Many women find homeopathy for the first time when they are pregnant as they wish to avoid the use of side effects of conventional medicines on their unborn child. Christina will be talking about the individuality of homeopathy and it’s usefulness in pregnancy and birth as well as examples to demonstrate.
Come and visit Christina at the Balanced Bumps, Births & Babies stand! Christina is a homeopath specialising in women’s health, an antenatal and postnatal educator and writes a blog about holistic health, lifestyle and parenting. Homeopathy is a system of medicine which involves treating the individual with highly diluted substances, with the aim of triggering the body’s natural healing ability. Based on their specific symptoms, a homeopath will match the most appropriate medicine to each patient. Homeopathy is based on the principle ‘like with like’, that is, a substance which causes symptoms when taken in large doses, can be used in small amounts to treat similar symptoms. Christina also teaches antenatal and baby classes by The Daisy Foundation. Her most popular class is Daisy Birthing, a woman only class where we practice yoga based movement, breathing and relaxation for both pregnancy wellness and education for labour including active birth and optimum foetal positioning.
